Stenden Hotel Sustainable F&B Policy

We at Stenden Hotel embrace our responsibility as being the pioneer in sustainable food and beverage. We strongly believe that the communities in which our hotels are situated in are the backbone of not only our business successes, but also the success of the local area. We have consciously integrated sustainable principles into our business strategy and it is a vital factor throughout our hotel and with our affiliates.

We strive to reduce the negative environmental and social impact of food and beverage by partnering with our hotel owners, suppliers and business partners. We steadfastly work to uphold and intertwine the five principles of “Culture, Health, Nature, Quality and Gain” and embody these throughout our entire food and beverage cycle (i.e. sourcing, procurement, production, consumption and disposal).

We aim to continually improve and innovate on practices that affect:

  • The sourcing of food and beverage from local suppliers and farmers.
  • The increasing of procurement of food and beverage grown and produced locally, to minimize the carbon foot-print.
  • The production methods of food and beverage to avoid high wastage and pollution of the local area in which we work in.

We strongly believe that our initiatives help support a healthy environment and sustain the local area and that these initiatives will have an advantageous affect for not only today’s generations, but also the generations to come.
